Juan López Agilarte
Guitar builder from Granada. He always built somewhat in the shadow of the big names such as Marín or Bellido, but was an insider tip for many guitarists because his guitars were very good deals for the price. The finish of his guitars is sometimes not perfect, but the sound compensates for that. His guitars always had a large, excellent sound. The treble is clear and ringing, and the bass powerful and also clear. At the beginning of 2000, Juan Aguilarte withdrew from Granada and builds only a few guitars per year at his home in a suburb of Granada.
