Gerundino Fernández
Gerundino is a legend, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. He was one of the best guitar builders in Spain in the 70s. His instruments from the 60s until the end of the 70s are unbelievably good. Many renowned guitarists such as Paco Peña, Paco del Gastor, Pedro Bacán, etc. played his instruments all their lives. Impressive is the most appropriate expression for his guitars. They are easy to play, but still have a lot of volume. Unfortunately, he had problems with alcohol, and consequently many guitars sold under his name after the 80s were no longer built by him. Many were built by his brother Eladio from Seville, and others by unknown luthiers and sold under his name. There are still new instruments with his name today, although nobody in his family builds guitars anymore.
