José López Bellido is one of the best Spanish luthiers and one of my personal favourites. Excellent workmanship and tasteful designs are the two main hallmarks of his guitars. The beautifully singing trebles of his guitars are particularly worth mentioning. The necks of his guitars are slender and the playability is excellent. Regrettably for all aficionados of flamenco guitars, Jose Lopez recently entered into his well deserved retirement. I wish him well, but I hope he’ll get bored soon and start building his great guitars again. This is the last guitar built with Indian rosewood I can offer in my shop. This instrument has a powerful tone with beautiful crystal clear trebles and its playability is excellent. Jose Lopez has used very old wood from his personal stock for this guitar.
